Turn 3 · Hair steps + persistent nail colour
Both routines are now reference photo + numbered steps on the same page shape. The nail colour set in standing state renders as a real swatch everywhere nails appear, so she can see what she's wearing without reading it.
D1 · Hair routine open
Identical page shape to the makeup routine — only the photo stack order flips, so the reference for the routine you're doing is always the larger image. The technique note keeps its rose rule.
D2 · Standing state · colour input
D3 · How it reads in the day (swatch persists)
D4 · Mobile makeup routine
Photo, then steps, then the handoff to the next routine — no scrolling to finish a 10-minute face.
D5 · Mobile hair routine
Same page shape as makeup; the nail swatch closes the sequence instead of a fourth screen.
Turn 2 · Editorial, carried through
Editorial collapses hair and makeup to three lines, so the tapped-open routine is the state that decides whether it works on a real morning. Plus the dark proof in the same language.
C1 · Routine tapped open (makeup)
Opening a routine swaps the right page rather than pushing the outfit off screen; the reference photo stacks under the outfit so both stay visible. Steps are numbered in the serif, one line each.
C2 · Dark proof
Same structure, inverted: paper becomes #1b1719, rose accent lifts to #c99caa for contrast, the keep bar goes darker than the page instead of lighter.
Turn 1 · Style Engine visual pass
Both directions answer the same brief: one screen to answer the day, the result above the fold, and no second dropdown panel. 1a extends the Kate Style handbook language. 1b pushes editorial — photo-led, serif display, less chrome.
Archivo, ivory paper, rose accent — one product with the handbook. Chips replace all seven dropdowns.
A1 · Answer the day (empty)
Seven dropdowns collapse to four chip rows plus one optional row. Everything is visible and thumb-sized; nothing is hidden behind a native select. Weather is read, not asked.
A2 · The day (outfit hero + routine)
Outfit is the only hero. Makeup, hair and nails are one-line summaries at the footer — tapping one expands the step list in place, so the morning read is a single screen with no scroll.
A3 · Standing state + saved confirmation
A4 · Nothing fit your time
A5 · Mobile form
A6 · Mobile result
A7 · Dark proof (same screen)
Serif display, photo-led, almost no chrome. The day is a sentence you tap through; the result is a full-bleed page.
B1 · Answer the day (sentence)
Four decisions read as one sentence — the unanswered slot is the dashed one, so there is never a question of what's left. Practicals stay optional and quiet below the line.
B2 · The day
Photo is half the page — alternates and reroll live on the image, not in a separate strip. Routine collapses to three lines above the keep bar.
B3 · Standing state + saved
B4 · Nothing fit your time
B5 · Mobile sentence
B6 · Mobile day (makeup row expanded)
